Description: Anemia Mukt Bharat Program, is an initiative launched by the Government of India under the Prime Minister's holistic nourishment scheme, POSHAN Abhiyaan. This pioneering program aims to combat anemia, a widespread health concern impacting various age groups across the nation. The implementation of the Anemia Mukt Bharat program in schools is a proactive step towards promoting the well-being of students. As per the program's scheme, children will be administered IFA (Iron and Folic Acid) Supplement Tablets in the school every Monday. On Monday, 24th July '23, the Government of Uttarakhand pilot-launched the implementation of the program in private schools of Districts Udham Singh Nagar & Haridwar. Columbus Public School was privileged to host the inaugural event for District Udham Singh Nagar in the distinguished presence of Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma (Chief Medical Officer, Distt. Udham Singh Nagar) and Mr. Ramesh C Arya (Chief Education Officer, Distt Udham Singh Nagar). Mr. Manoj Kumar Khera (Managing Director) also graced the occasion. At Columbus Public School, we wholeheartedly support the government's initiative to create a healthier and brighter future for our students. In the first round, approximately 850 students received the first dose of IFA tablets, marking the beginning of their journey towards better health. We take immense pride in being part of this transformative endeavour and are committed to fostering a healthier society through the Anemia Mukt Bharat Program.
